An artist pursuing fiber art and research on the Nusantara (Malay Archipelago) food history. Ayunin is part of Surabaya artist collective Serbuk Kayu (literal translation: Sawdust), and is the only woman in this collective of 38 artists. Serbuk Kayu’s activities revolve around collective arts education. It was established in 2011 as an initiative by visual arts students of Universitas Negeri Surabaya (State University of Surabaya) before growing throughout and outside of campus, further expanding the collective’s programs in music, performing arts, and literature. At present, Ayunin works as program management staff for the Jakarta Arts Council.
